Social Publishing is when an Individual or Company/Brand publishes something online. This involves a lot of different process that work to make the content view able, deliverable, and searchable. The main factor to keep in mind is how the content will direct the viewers. Does the advertiser want the user to follow links and content back to the companies owned media or site, or do they want the viewer to instead go to a video production and engage with the content there?
Also, the advertiser needs to make sure that they have tagged their content with the appropriate key words in order to make it find able. The internet is a very vast place and the wrong keywords can make it so the site has relatively few viewers.
Why is Social Publishing Important?
Social Publishing is important because it allows a company to direct users to engage with their content. Content being what is created in order to establish value or the "currency" of the online world. Social publishing works to establish brand and also communicate information to customers or followers, allowing the before mentioned to spread to more and more people. In a way social Publishing is creating an online web in which you have the guide the user back to the center, or to where you want them to be exposed to some content. By being able to guide customers to certain areas, a company can attempt to expose a viewer to certain content that would be controlled by the company.
How can a company or Brand benefit from Social Publishing?
As mentioned before, a company or brand benefit from Social Publishing because they are able to put out content related to them and have the opportunity to draw in more people who may be inexperienced with the company. Social Publishing allows for fast spread of information, ideas, or values, which is useful to companies trying to expand their reach.
